About Duck
Meet Duck, a Canadian Emo musician writing the music he wishes had existed had before his life fell apart. His songs are raw, confessional, and speak from an honest story of survival.
In April 2022, Duck woke up with a third of his skull missing after receiving brain surgery for a Subdural Hematoma the night of a mysterious accident in Toronto, Ontario left him in a four-day coma with only a twenty percent survival rate, and a zero percent chance of living a normal life again. That severe traumatic brain injury (TBI) left him disabled, changing the world he once knew.
Duck says the past three years have been a dark, restless, and relentless journey attempting to navigate life through severe short-term memory loss, confusion, the fight to rediscover himself, and much more. When Duck woke up from a four-day coma, he couldn’t speak or read, he didn’t even remember who his parents were. He had to relearn everything, including how to live with the invisible scars of traumatic brain injury, depression, anxiety, borderline personality disorder (BPD), ADHD, PTSD, and alcohol-induced bipolar disorder among no longer diagnosable issues.
For a long time he spiralled, he still lives with constant doubt and worry after he lost the light that people once knew him for, but after hitting rock bottom in early 2024 he is choosing to fight back and attempt to heal whatever damage he possibly can, all while keeping his head up to the best of his ability.

About My Manic Meltdown
My Manic Meltdown is a Canadian Midwest-Emo solo-project.
My Manic Meltdowns Debut EP “Half A Head And All Its Thoughts” started off as a psych ward note Duck wrote while recovering from a suicide attempt in February 2024, one year later that note grew into a raw artistic confession about all of the traumas and horrors that led to his Brain Injury, and insight onto what came after.
Now in 2026, My Manic Meltdown is more than just an idea hiding inside Ducks head and all it's thoughts.
